Ghorepani Poon hill trekking

Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is well known in the trekking world as the small Annapurna circuit trekking. It is one of the short trekking spot in Nepal. While trekking at this short trekking route, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains like Annapurna I (8091m), Machhapuchhre (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III(7555m),  Annapurna Iv and many more beautiful eye catching beauty of the nature. The view point of Ghorepani is situated at the height of 3100m from where we can get the spectacular view of surrounding mountains and early morning rising sun.

Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is a short trekking which starts from Pokhara with a short drive from Kathmandu. From Pokhara the trail goes at Nayapul, Ghandruk, Tadapani and Ghorepani. We can get a close view of culture and tradition of local people while trekking at this region. The hospitable and friendly behavior of the local people will encourage every trekker to visit at the Ghorepani Poon hill once again. Mainly people of Gurung community used to live here. We have to pass several forest of rhododendron enriched with many species of extinct wildlife. Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is suitable for those trekkers who want to explore the local culture of Nepalese people along with the beautiful floras and faunas. Generally the time of October, November, December, February, March and April is considered as the best season for trekking at this region. But, according to the wish of trekkers, A Nepal Trek has organized the trekking program to Ghorepani Poon hill trekking area throughout the year.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
After getting in the plane from the domestic plane, we will be landed at TIA. We can get many banner of welcome to Nepal there where everyone will be busy receiving the visitors. A representative of A Nepal Trek will warmly receive us and will guided towards the hotel room. The night will be enchanting at Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Early morning, we will have a fresh breakfast at the hotel room at Kathmandu. After having the breakfast, we will pack some important luggage and will drive towards Pokhara. The way goes through the Prithivi highway glimpsing the most panoramic view all around us. We can enjoy the leisure time at Pokhara visiting the beautiful lakes, caves, forest, temples and Mountain View point.

Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul and then Tikhedunga
At Pokhara, we will wake up early in the morning with the beautiful rising sun. From Pokhara, we will take a jeep or taxi to reach at Nayapul. The drive goes for 43 kilometers viewing the scenic beauty around the road. After getting off the bus, we will trek further towards Tikhedunga. At night we will be at one of the lodges at Tikhedunga.

Day 04: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani
From Tikhedunga, we need to pass the nearby suspension bridge along with dazzling waterfalls. After a climb of about half hour, we will be at Ulleri, a Magar village. Continuing our journey will ultimately lead us at Ghorepani at the altitude of 2870m. The trekking route goes for about 6 hours. We will stay the night at Ghorepani at one of the beat lodges.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Poon hill and to Tadapani
From Ghorepani, we will start day earlier than ever towards Poon hill at 3210m. From the Poon hill we may get the magnificent view of mountains all around us. In the early morning, we can see the dazzling view of sun rising piercing the White Mountains. We need to return to Ghorepani after the short and sweet encounter with the mountains. From Ghorepani, we will trek towards Tadapani.

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk
After having the breakfast at Tadapani, we will trek forwards to the Ghandruk village. The trail goes for about 4 hours. We have to cross several forest of rhododendron along with different animals and birds. Mainly Gurung people used to live here. The night will be at Ghandruk village at 1940m.

Day 07: Ghandruk to Birethanti and to Pokhara
From Ghandruk, after having the early morning breakfast, we will resume our journey. The trail goes through the Modi Khola to Birethanti. Continuing our trek will reach us at Nayapul with a private vehicle to Pokhara. The evening and night at Pokhara will be delightful visiting the local market and lakes.

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu
From Pokhara, a drive of 6 to 7 hours will be enough to return to Kathmandu. We will definitely enjoy the view of green forest and the road side houses while returning to Kathmandu. The evening will be delightful visiting the market area of Kathmandu. We will take rest at night at the hotel arranged by A Nepal Trek.

Day 09: Farewell program
We will have a refreshing morning at Kathmandu. After having the breakfast, we have to pack our luggage to move towards the airport. We should arrive at airport before 3 hours of the flight. After attending at the farewell party organized by A Nepal Trek, we get into the flight to fly to our home country.

Our first goal is “first safety” for all of our clients and staff. We have smartly experienced friendly and knowledge able workers team. All they are well trained and must of they are license holder Guides. We arrange first aid. Also the area has heath post on every 2 days, and main hospital is not farther than maximum 5 hrs, from any part. We can use a quick drive on ruff road, carry by the people, take a horse ride, and arrange the Helicopter at our needed as per the emergency encase. The  physical walk is 6 hours average per  day with mini bag with your valued things average 2-5 kg.But 2 days is shorter.

Everest Base Camp Trek 
The trekking route begins from the quick fly over to the Himalayas to Lukla from Kathmandu. After landing at Lukla, we will forward towards the Phakding, Namche bazaar, Khumjung, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Kalapatthar and other many places observing the beautiful sceneries of the region. We can meet the hospitable and friendly Sherpa people throughout the trekking route. The tenting camp at many highlands will also be remarkable.

Itinerary

Day01: Arrival at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, a representative of A Nepal Trek will warmly receive you and will guide towards the best hotel of the town. The night will be enchanting at Kathmandu visiting the local market and buying some necessary things as well. The night will be delighted at the hotel at Kathmandu with the best dinner and a short discussion about the upcoming journey.

Day02: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding
After having the breakfast at Kathmandu, we will take to the airport in the private drive of A Nepal Trek. We will catch the flight and fly over to the airport at the highest altitude, Lukla. After getting off from the plane, we will trek towards Phakding. The Lukla airport is at the altitude of 2800m from where we have to tumble down to the height of 2652m at Phakding. We will spend the night at one of the hotel at Phakding.

Day03: Phakding to Namche bazaar
From Phakding, after having the refreshing breakfast, we will push ourselves towards the Namche bazaar 3440m. We have to cross several suspension bridges over to Dudh Koshi River. We can scrutinize the magnificent view of Mt. Thamserku (6618m). We will walk across the Sagarmatha national park. After walking for 5 to 6 hours, we are now at Namche bazaar. We will stay the night at one of the reputed hotel.

Day04: Namche bazaar acclimatization day
Namche bazaar is really a place to take rest and to explore. We need a whole day to explore the surrounding of Namche bazaar. We are facilitated by everything here. We have ATNs, banks, internet cafes, restaurants, bakery, hospitals, government office and other many facilities. We can explore the life styles of Sherpa community living here.

Day05: Namche bazaar to Tengboche
From Namche bazaar, we will move early with the cold breeze of the morning. We can see the scintillating view of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam and several other ranges. We have to pursue the main trail to Tengboche. After trekking for about 5 to 6 hours, we can reach at Tengboche where we can see beautiful monasteries and stupas. We will stay the night at lodges whichever is available at Tengboche at 3870m.

Day06: Tengboche to Dingboche
Early morning, we will have a short glimpse over to Tengboche and its monasteries with the dazzling background of White Mountains. We can click several photos with the dazzling monasteries here. We will then begin our trekking over to the Himalayas. After a continuous trek over to the main trail we can reach at Dingboche where we can see marvelous cultivated area.

Day07: Dingboche acclimatization day
We will spend the day at Dingboche discovering the surrounding of Dingboche. We can see the glittering view of Mt. Amadablam (6856m) from here. If you want to view the best picture of the White Mountains then you can walk to the highland towards the north of the village from where we can see the admirable view of Amadablam along with Lhotse.  We will spend the whole day by enjoying, relaxing and acclimatizing ourselves.

Day08: Dingboche to Lobuche
From Dingboche, we will trek towards Dughla following the Khumbu Khola valley. The route offers us remarking view of mountains around us. After moving for a while, we can see the majestic view of Mt. Pumori. We can get the vision of summit of the Mt. Nuptse ,Cholotse ,Lobuche peaks and other several magnificent peaks. We will spend the night at Lobuche 4910m.

Day 09: Lobuche to Gorak shep to Everest base camp
Early morning, we will be served by the luscious breakfast. With the taste of breakfast, we will be encouraged to move further towards the Gorak shep. After walking for several hours, we can reach at Gorak shep from where we will witness many sky kissing mountains including the top of the world. Following the trail will leads us to the base camp of Everest. We will take some breathe in the breeze of Mount Everest and will return back to Gorak shep following the same path. The whole phenomenon will take exciting 8 to 9 hours.

Day10: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar and to Pheriche
The day is the gist day of our journey. We will trek earlier to Kalapatthar from Gorakshep from where we can have a scintillating view of sun piercing the cloud to reflect on the white snow. After a continuous ascent for several hours, we can reach at Kalapatthar. We will have to return soon from Kalapatthar as the cold wind may affect us. We will return the way to Pheriche at 4280m.

Day11:  Pheriche to Kyangjuma
After crossing the Khumbu khola, we follow the main trail down to the village of Tsuro Wog Orsho and reach Pangboche. We can spend a little time at Pangboche monastery. From Pangboche a steep descent of about 500m will lead us towards the Dudhkosi River. after walking through the path for about5 to 6 hours we can reach at Kyangjuma at the altitude of3570m.

Day 12: Kyangjuma to Monjo
We will continue our way down to the hill following the steep forest. After walking for several hours we can reach at Namche bazaar. We have enough time to take rest and to shop some of the vital elements here. We will continue our way to Monjo as it will be easier tomorrow to reach at Lukla. The Monjo is situated at the height of 2840m. The trekking route is about 4 to5 hours long.

Day 13: Monjo to Lukla
The trekking route from Monjo to Lukla is the last trekking route of Everest base camp which will leads us towards the airport at Lukla.   The way of today goes down alongside the rhododendrons and pine forest. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River, we have to ascent for about 45 minutes which will takes us to Lukla. We will spend the night at Lukla.

Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu
It will take us only few hours of time to be back to Kathmandu from Lukla. After getting off the plane, we can visit around the Kathmandu for the rest of the day. We can view the most panoramic and magnificent picture of mountains and forest while visiting the Kathmandu. We will spend the night at Kathmandu arranged by A Nepal Trek.

Day 15: Farewell program
After having the refreshing breakfast in the breeze of the early morning, we will be in motion towards the airport. A Nepal Trek will arrange the facility of vehicle which will drop us to the airport. After attending the farewell program organized by the A Nepal Trek we can precede further for the flight.
